Your dimensions, sworn to secrecy.
A corset is not a garment in which you guess. We measure bust, underbust, waist, and hip — at minimum. Our most decorated clients hand us nine numbers and call it a confidence.
Stand. Soft tape. No pull, no slack. Inhale and exhale normally; measure on the breath out. Record everything in centimetres — the atelier speaks no other dialect.
- Bust — fullest point, arms relaxed.
- Underbust — the rib hollow directly beneath.
- Natural waist — the narrowest point of your torso. Tilt sideways; the waist is where the crease lands.
- Hip — fullest curve, usually 8 inches below the waist.
Between sizes? Take the smaller — corsets are meant to close with breathing room at the back. Tight-lacing is a consenting adult's choice, not a manufacturing default.
Still bewildered? Write to the atelier. We'll talk you through it like the priesthood we are.
